What is a database?
A database is a collection of organized data that can be searched. It can contain ebooks, journal articles, book reviews, magazine articles, images, newspaper articles or streaming videos.
How do I access a database?
All registered ATU Sligo students and staff have access to the Library’s databases.
You may be asked to log in using your college username and password.
To access a database, go to the Library homepage and click on the “Databases A-Z” link. Each database is listed with a short summary of what it contains. Select the database that you require by clicking on its title.
Where can I get help on searching/using a database?
Take a look at our LibGuides for information on our databases/e-resources. Or request a 121 support session with your Faculty Liaison Librarian.
