EDI Book Display: Supporting International Women’s Day

This month we’re celebrating the achievements of women in for International Women’s Day (IWD). A book display exploring the theme of equity is now available to view beside the Library Information Desk. The selected books are based on the developments of equity through gender equality in education, work, and society.

Sligo Engineering Fair

This year the Sligo Engineering Fair takes place on Sunday 5th March from 12- 5pm. For more information and bookings, please see the event’s dedicated website.
A Library Lunchtime Talk: Aleen Trusk -Trailblazer

To celebrate IWD this year, ATU Library will host a live talk on a pioneering veterinary surgeon Aleen Trusk. This talk will take place on Wednsday 8th March at 1pm in Galway City (Dublin Road) Library, Room 973.
If you can’t attend this event in person, it is available to stream live on Teams.
Taster Days with the Marketing Department

Over the next few weeks, the Marketing Department will be running Taster Days on the Sligo campus. These will include tours of the Yeats Library building. Tours are scheduled to occur between 1-1.30 pm, and may feature up to 4 different groups being introduced to the library.
Tours days are:
- Tuesday 7th March
- Tuesday 14th March
- Tuesday 21st March
St Patrick’s Day: Opening Hours

This year we will be closed for two days over the St. Patrick’s Festival period.
We will be closed:
- Friday 17th March
- Saturday 18th March
We will reopen on Monday 20th March at 9.00 as normal.
