Eolas and EBSCO databases scheduled outage notification

On Thursday, January 4, 2018, Personalization features including access to My EBSCOhost Folders, Personal User authentication, and Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication will be unavailable while EBSCO perform software updates. (We use SSO in Yeats Library) The service window is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. EST (-5 GMT) for approximately 1 hour. Because Eastern Standard Time is 5 hours behind us, it will probably only affect those of you who are online learners and live abroad. Unless we have some night owls searching for articles at 4am 🙂 Nevertheless, just in case the downtime is more than 1 hour as expected at least you are forewarned.

All EBSCO databases and interfaces will be available for the duration of the service window. We appreciate your patience while they perform these updates. Please contact us if you have questions or need any assistance.

Also, as some of you know the personalisation feature (logging in and storing articles in folders etc.) of Eolas and EBSCO databases went kaput a couple of months ago and some of you lost your folders. We have discovered the cause  and we have someone working on getting that data back if possible. We will keep you informed, and we apologise for the inconvenience.
