The Information Desk is situated in the Info Zone, here students can gain assistance with general library enquiries. Library staff can deal with queries relating to your library account, your library password, borrowing and returning books, using the Quick Check, offer help and support in the navigation of databases, assist with reference queries or book subject specific tutorials with a librarian.

The Reference Desk in the InfoZone is where you can get one to one support from a member of library staff.
The type of enquiry varies from a first year student looking for a case study to a post grad student seeking referencing advise.
Many lecturers use this service to keep up to date with advanced features of our various e-resources. Sometimes a team of 4 will request an appointment where there is a group assignment being undertaken.
Who can avail of this service ?
All staff and students are welcome to meet with a member of Library staff at the Reference Desk by appointment.

What information do we require ?
When you are making your appointment please provide us with a brief outline of your study. This allows the staff member to do some preparation so we make the best use of your appointment.
Let us know if more than one student is attending.

How long is the appointment ?
Some queries require a brief answer. The staff member will be available to you for an hour if neccessary .
